Week 35

Thought I'd drop in with a quick note just to let you all know it was a nice, uneventful week. We found out all my labs were normal at my Monday morning appointment, and my blood pressure was acceptable again. They have me working half-days and curbing most exercise as a precaution. Baby and I had a "non-stress" test on Monday that was really pretty stressful. It took her over an hour and a big dose of Smarties to get moving and perform the required heart rate elevations. Then she just went nuts and gave them five instances in fifteen minutes. We go in Thursday for the 36 week check-up, another non-stress test, and an ultrasound to check on her size again.

In other news, I am still feeling pretty good physically all things considered. Except, I will admit I feel about twenty years older when I get out of bed every morning. After a couple hours of toddling around though, my legs loosen up and it's not bad. Still sleeping pretty well. My feet are still swollen, but I did find some blessed relief sitting and floating in cold water at the pool this weekend. Even if I never use the maternity swimsuit again, I may have gotten my money's worth!

Steve and I spent part of the Fourth in Peoria with his family. The rest of the weekend was spent shopping and painting. We made a lot of progress on the "things to do before the baby arrives" list this week. Our big exciting news is that the nursery is painted now -- two shades of yellow that match the bedding we chose, BananaFish Crayon. Still no crib yet but it should appear shortly. Hope you all had a nice holiday weekend, and we'll be back with updates as time permits.
